ILLINOIS TECH
COLLABORATION
Opt4STEM is looking for Illinois Tech student organizations to inspire and mentor Von Students at Opt4STEM events, including:
STEM Enrichment Programs:
A vital part of OptSTEM is providing Von students with unique opportunities to not only increase their interest in STEM but to enrich their understanding of and experience in these fields. Illinois Tech students are needed at these events to share their passion and knowledge to inspire Von students. Events include Science Fair Projects, Make It Mondays, and Engineering Week.
College and Career Readiness Workshops:
Each workshop is focused on preparing Von students for life after high school. Illinois Tech students are needed to lead small groups or work one-on-one with Von students to complete workshop activities. Workshop topics include Essay Writing, Interview Skills, and Transitioning to College.
Create Your Own Programs:
The "Create Your Own" is a chance for student groups to develop a program for Von students to participate in either at Illinois Tech or at Von Steuben. Interested individuals or groups must submit a one-page proposal to Opt4STEM including:
